Red and white skill checks in Disco Elysium are affected by conditional modifiers — bonuses and penalties based on your actions, equipped items, dresscodes, thoughts, and quest progress. These modifiers are now visible throughout the site.
Every red (Red) and white (White) skill check now displays its modifiers directly below the dialogue line. Each modifier shows:
Enables a Show All Checks with Modifiers checkbox and Browse Modifiers button in the Search sidebar. To show modifiers in dialogue trees, use Settings → Display.
Check Show All Checks with Modifiers with no query to list all 211 checks with modifiers; with a query it also matches modifier text (e.g. search dresscode). Click Browse Modifiers to explore 928 individual modifiers sorted by frequency.
Open Whirling / Bathroom Mirror and find the “Face yourself” red Endurance check — it has 10 modifiers covering thoughts, dresscodes, and quest progress.

Disco Elysium Scribe lets you browse, search, and listen to every line of dialogue in Disco Elysium. The entire game script is here — every conversation, every skill check, every thought — organized and searchable.
Conversations are displayed as branching trees, just like in the game. Player choices are numbered in gold when multiple options exist. Branches and loops are labeled. Click any speaker name to visit their character page, or click a conversation title to open it.
Skill check entries display colored difficulty badges: Pass for successful checks, Red for red checks, and White for white checks, followed by the skill name colored by attribute: Intellect Psyche Physique Motorics.
Search — Full-text search across all dialogue. Filter by character or category (NPCs, Skills, Objects, etc.). Use Whole Words for exact matching. Enable Show Variables/Conditions to search the game’s internal scripting fields — conditions like IsKimHere and scripts like SetVariableValue. Click Browse Variables to open a categorized reference of the most common game variables, sorted by frequency — click any to search for it.
Characters — Browse all characters, filterable by category. Each page shows their dialogue, owned conversations, and appearances. Some characters have an Alter-Ego section showing entries from their other identity (e.g. Horse-Faced Woman / Judit Minot, Scab Leader / Kortenaer).
Locations — Browse conversations grouped by in-game location.
Bookmarks — View all saved items. Filter by category or speaker, or search by text. Bookmarked dialogue lines include audio playback buttons where available.
Press F or use the find bar at the top of conversation trees and character pages to filter entries by text. Use W/S or Enter/Shift+Enter to jump between matches. Press Escape to clear.
Click the star ☆ on any dialogue line, conversation header, character, or location to bookmark it. Bookmarks are organized by category (Player, Skill, NPC, Object, Characters, Locations, Conversations) and persist between sessions. Remove them from the Bookmarks tab or by clicking the star again.
Voiced dialogue lines have a play button — click it to hear the voice line. The full game soundtrack is also available via the music controls at the bottom of the page. Music plays independently from dialogue audio.
The Random Line button on the welcome screen jumps to a random dialogue entry from anywhere in the game.
Hover over any dialogue line to reveal a copy button and a link button 🔗. Copy sends the speaker and text to your clipboard. Link copies a shareable URL to that specific line. The URL updates as you navigate, and browser back/forward buttons work as expected.
Click Settings in the header to customise your experience. All settings persist between sessions.
Features — Toggle visibility of the statistics dashboard, random line button, variable search, graph visualisation, skill check badges, music player, and conversation search.
Display — Show entry IDs, show metadata inline (conditions/scripts below entries instead of tooltips), spoiler blur, dim unvoiced lines, highlight player choices with a gold border, and show all check modifiers on skill checks.
Behavior — Auto-play sequential audio, default whole-word search, and collapse all tree branches by default.
Sizing — Adjust text size, UI density, tree indentation depth, maximum visible nodes, and portrait size.
Use the language dropdown in the footer to view dialogue in any of 12 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Translations apply to dialogue text, character names, and search results.
Choose a wallpaper from the footer dropdown to set a background from the game.
The left sidebar, right context panel, and music bar can each be collapsed using arrow buttons on their edges. The context panel is smart — it auto-opens when viewing a conversation or character with a portrait, and collapses when you return to the welcome screen.
